What We Do

At the Illinois State Neurological Society, we are committed to:

  • Promoting excellence in patient care through cutting-edge neurology practice and education.
  • Providing robust continuing medical education (CME) opportunities for neurologists and allied professionals.
  • Advocating for policy and system reforms that support neurological care and advance the interests of neurologists statewide.

The Illinois State Neurological Society is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and works in partnership with the American Academy of Neurology.  We aim to amplify the voice of Illinois neurologists at both the state and national levels.

Our advocacy priorities include:
  • Ensuring access to high-quality neurological care for patients across Illinois
  • Supporting fair reimbursement and sustainable practice environments
  • Advancing research funding and innovation in the neurosciences
  • Promoting policies that address public health challenges such as stroke, epilepsy, dementia, and neurodegenerative diseases

The Illinois State Neurological Society mission is to support and promote best practices in neurology and continuing education of neurologists and the public in Illinois, and to advocate on behalf of neurologists and patients with neurological conditions to improve neurological care in the State of Illinois.
