Sarah Song, MD, MPH

Sarah Song, MD, MPH, FAHA, FAAN is an Associate Professor in the Division of Cerebrovascular Disease in the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center. She received her medical and public health degrees from the University of Illinois, and completed Neurology residency at Georgetown University, Vascular Neurology Fellowship at UCLA, and a postdoctoral research fellowship in stroke outcomes with the American Heart Association. She is the Editor-in-Chief of BrainHealth.com, formerly Brain & Life, and Section Editor for Stroke, among other editorial boards. She serves on multiple committees for the American Academy of Neurology, including the Brain Health Committee, the Advocacy Engagement Subcommittee, and the Publications Committee. Her articles have been published in multiple academic journals including Stroke, Neurology, and JAMA Neurology. She is the co-founder (along with Austin Hake) and Past President of the Illinois State Neurological Society. Her research interests include Asian-Americans and stroke, women in stroke, and community-partnered education interventions.
